All, thanks for the encouragement. I usually can solve my Linux problems googling. That didn't work for this one. The audio of a desktop unit stopped working. I think the Linux - Hardware forum is the proper one to post to, so once I compose my evidence, I will probably shoot something there. I also am having problems getting my posts to register. I may be hitting the wrong button. Second try for this one. Hopefully it will work this time.
