Hello World

I've always been interested in Linux but until recently just haven't had the time to properly devote myself to becoming proficient. What got me interested recently is a new distro called Pendrive Linux (google it).

What really got me interested is they have a minimal distro they claim I could run off a USB stick from KQemu, so no install to my HD, and I wouldn't even have to try to boot it from USB (I can't--see related post)

I'm really hoping to get my feet wet here but so far even though the Linux community has bent over backward to accommodate me I think I'm still in over my head...

Welcome to LQ Pendrive Linux and any live CD distro are great ways to "try before you buy" as it were.

Hi, the learning curve seemed backwards to me. The hardest was at the beginning, I had a hard time with the terminology and the commands. When I found out where to look for my information and understood half of what I was reading and it solved a lot of my problems. I am trying to tell you if you get over the first mountain it is mostly down hill from there.
