Hello from Garrett in Chicago

Hello,

I started using Linux in 2002 or 2003, mainly just to compile some code I was writing for the Rockbox open source mp3 player firmware. I used Suse because it was the first distro I could get to install easily.

These days I use Xubuntu, almost exclusively. Generally I am enthused about Linux and all free and open source software.

I have been watching a couple of projects with interest: Coreboot (formerly known as LinuxBIOS) and Syllable (a BeOS-like OS).
