Hello from Denmark

Hello everybody,

I joined this forum because I have the ambition to move slowly into consultancy on my own and detach from a fixed salaried job (I am 39).

Though thing on its own made even more difficult by the fact that I live in Denmark, a land dominated by Microsoft, where the win company has a huge R&D site.

Everything here is developed in Biztalk, C#, .NET and the like. However, I cannot believe that a good marketable information system cannot be also made in Linux. First problem is documentation format: Word dominated. It is tough to persuade a company to switch to OpenOffice. Then it comes web development: I do not know why but the do not like PHP.

I look from this forum people who see the same way and encounter the same problem I will encounter in promoting Linux to be the platform for IS.

Anyway, I'll try, we'll see.
