Cool Hello from Central NYS-the recently FLOODED area

Self built Asus Z71V, use WIFI @ local library. + many DT. NEED DIGITAL VIDEO EDITING ABILITY (which daemon?)
Z71V (came w/ 64MB GPU, I installed 128MB Geforce 6600 Go) w/725 [FSB@533], 80GB SATA Seagate, Considering a 2nd HD kit that fits in OD bay & a PCMCIA HD.
WiFi USR 5410 (pcmcia) + mini PCI Express; Intel 2915, or AR5006XS
Economy version of a Z71Vp [128MB], w/ only `A' quality LCD [WXGA] NEED Z71A HDD Housing unit!
Booting Suse 91 Linux, XP Pro, ULTIMATEb2 (5384) on Z71V! Next:Tiger (Waiting til I learn LINUX better)

Do not really understand S 9.1 yet, but I like the Moon phases, also many more card games (types of solitaire etc) & Mahjong!
Have been reading Tutorials & searching. Hopefully this is the best forum for Linux for me to learn in & get assistance. TY d8d *!* I LIKE SPELL CHECK (if it were used), TAGS *!*

AM FINDING IT REALLY HARD TO LOCATE GOOD info to solve my problems, and learn LINUX. IMHO Many searches result in wasted time taken to read through, hoping to find an answere before starting new thread, or are to technical for non-programmer newbies.
So Many posts are w/o good info, by the time I finish reading through all the pages to locate the good info I am more confused. I try save any decent looking posts to my DT, and then read thru offline, edit to maintain ideas that I learned from. Stiil not sure how tags work yet!
