Smile Hello everyone

I'm new to posting and this is my first try at this. I am a retired Network Administrator from the VA Medical Center. I have been a system Administrator for Novell, Network Administrator for Windows. I have worked on multiple operating systems. I write in numerous languages. I repair equipment and trouble shoot software. I've been using Linux for over ten years but still feel as a newbie. I feel that Linux is the best operating system out their. I am currently using Linuxmint 17. Previouly I had used Ubuntu but I didn't like the new interface. The best thing about Linux is that everyone can contribute either by helping others or contributing to the software which is free for everyone. Thanks for letting me be part of the Linux forum. I hope that I can be of help to others.

Thumbs up Hello, there!

Hi, Burnseysr

When I read your post, I thought that I want to be like you someday. I really want to retire and then be an active part of a forum, like you are now helping others, with your expertise and all your summarized knowledge. I'm sure you know much more than you say, because you love Linux and you have used for over a decade.

Congratulations! For not being a passive personne, but a creative and active and helpful one. Thank you for helping others; I hope to see more of you here and around.

Smile Thank you

It was really kind of you to say that about me. I've always had a love for computers and software. At work I would do everyones computer for free as I felt that I wanted them to enjoy using them as I did. I felt that I wanted to give back what I received from training. The more my users new the less I had to do. Not being selfish, but taking care of over 800 users you get overwhelmed. Thanks again it means alot. Dan
