Hi folks. I'm a 49 year old male from Norway. Not all that experienced in linux if experience is time served. But more experienced than most, if experience is what you've tried and what you've done.
My background is mostly hardware-related, and for my software needs I migrated to Linux when Modern UI first was introduced in Windows. That's when I've had enough..
I started with a old laptop and therefore looked for fast lighweight distros, and started out with WattOS, PeppermintOS, and then CrunchBang. The last few years I have mainly used my own custom Debian builds, and I'm now in the process of setting up my own 'lil distro.
The builds and live-cd's and everything is stable and fine, but the distro-project as such is in a alpha-stage as far as support-resources, infrastructure and documentation is concerned.
That's why I will spend the next year or so getting all this in place before I make any kind of public announcements. But the builds are shared trough my website for anyone that wants to try them as is, at own risk, and without the expectation of support.
Anyway, that's not why I'm here. I'm here to hopefully be able to help a few with the things I'm most experienced in. And perhaps I can learn something too. Anyway, that's it for now. I'm looking forward to a pleasant stay
