Greetings

Hello LQ,

long time computer user who's been using Linux on and off for a while. I must've tried 15 different Distros looking for one that felt right for me.

Recently started using Fedora and it all just clicked, this is the OS I've been looking for and I'm really loving it. For whatever reason I just couldn't get into the Ubuntu based distros and I always ended up just using the Terminal but not really liking the Ubuntu GUI. But I'm really enjoying Fedora and I can see this laptop is going to be my main computer for now. There's absolutely nothing I've been unhappy with about Fedora.

Took a look around the board tonight and it looks like a helpful and informative place so I bookmarked it and wanted to sign up.

Thanks for having me.

Thanks for the welcome. (I was wondering if anyone would catch that joke. It's weird the odd UserNames that pop in your head when you suddenly need to make one. Hahaha)

You're welcome, I was wondering what that was about. Still haven't gotten it, though.

Regards...

There's a song from when I was a little kid ...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ON56AKnqbog

he says 8675309,..but he draws the 9 out like, "nieeyeene"

...I have absolutely no idea why it popped in my head when I was trying to think of a user name, but it made me chuckle a little bit, so..

I'm a bit of a dork. Hahahah

Hi...

Ahhhh, ok. Thank you for clearing that up. I had completely forgotten about that song. I see rtmistler was very quick on the draw.

Regards...

not really. Stayed up all night studying again as usual. I'm finding The Linux Bible by Chris Negus to be my favorite book for studying so far. The writing style for the most part is very clear.
And I'm trying to find some LUGs in my area. One is very close about 15 minutes away but I'm not getting a reply to emails, the other I got a reply but they're going to be a lot harder and a lot farther to get to.
