Sorry and yes I did move your other thread from Newbie to here. The thing is you've said the same thing in both threads, mostly introduction, followed by a quick question.
Once again, my suggestion is that you start a new thread in the Newbie or General forums, however you title it saying that you are looking for Samba configuration assistance and you describe what you've done so far on that.
At the top you'll see Home, Forums, HCL, and so forth. Click on Forums and you'll see a list of forums. You can click on a particular forum, such as Newbie or Linux-General (Be aware that there is an open Non-Linux General which is more open discussion versus technical)
Once browsing within a forum you can click Create Thread, a button near the top and it will allow you to create a thread. Title it something such as "Working with Samba and Trying to set it up" and put in the details which you've tried. People will ask if you merely say, "Hey, how do you set up samba?", therefore best to offer at least some details of your efforts.
