Welcome to LQ!!
We generally do not help on homework unless there is clear evidence of some work already done by the student.
Two hints:
1. "ipconfig" is not a Linux command---Google will give you the equivalent (but you should have gotten this in class)
2. If someone says you have to run a command with a full path name, then try the following:
Suppose the command is "jump" and it is kept in /sbin. Try these versions:
1. In your home directory, type "jump"
2. In your home directory, type "/sbin/jump"
3. In the /sbin directory, type "jump"
4. In the /sbin directory, type "./jump"
Try the same thing running as root ("su -" to become root with the root environment.)
