wireless utils


Using suse 9.1, I have a cisco 350 wireless card,
how do I configure the leap?

I'd use XSupplicant. http://open1x.org
There are commercial supplicants as well from Meetinghouse and Funk.
The 1.0 version is working beautifully for me with TLS. I've not tried LEAP, but it is listed as being supported in the current version.

That is a good suggestion, BUT apparently the cisco 350 card doesn't play nice with the xsupplicant software


Cisco's driver from theri website SHOULD have been the best place to make this work, unfortunately,
their code only works with up to 2.4 kernel.

So I have given up on this, maybe Cisco will stay a bit more "on top" of their drivers.

I was unaware of a compatibility problem with Cisco. There is a mailing list for XSupplicant and its dev seems to be pretty reponsive. Might be worth a shot.
