Smile Wireless Router that recognizes Fedora 8 64-bit

Hello Everyone,

I wanted to know if there is a router available which supports both Windows Vista 32-bit and Linux Fedora-8 64-bit so that I can get on the web with my laptop(Dell XPS M1530) through a wireless connection. My current LinkSys router doesn't support Linux.

Thanks

LR0

Routers don't "support" any OS, they operate on the TCP/IP level, which is standard between every operating system.

If you are referring to the software that comes on the CD with the router, you don't actually need to use that software, it is just a wizard to automate the router's configuration.

If you aren't able to connect to the router with your laptop, then the problem is going to be with the WLAN device in the laptop itself, which actually does have to work under Linux directly.
