Need to post info on the hardware. Use the command ' /sbin/lspci '.
Post the notebook brand and model.
Check the section here called HCL for some possible help. It is loacted at the top and to the right of this page.

For wirless it may depend on the hardware as to whether it is active or not on start. Some laptops require a script to activate the hardware. Maybe there is a button and it may work to activate it or not. As for a module driver it should work with Ndiswrapper. Google for the web site and and also search here for ' ubuntu ndiswrapper '.

For modem it may depend on the modem hardware and what it will work with. 99% are winmodem in design and out of that maybe 50% of them are usable. One driver offers 14.4k speed but if you purchase the driver you get 56k. Check this link for starters to learn about the different drivers and how to check. http://www.linuxquestions.org/linux/...dems_and_Linux
