Suse Wireless has signal but no ip


I have a HP Pavilion Ze5300 with a bulitin wireless card
i installed suse (current) sorry not sure what verson (i know i should)
it rek'd the card and i can open kwifimanager and get a reading on the signal strength
but i cannot connect via the wireless connection
any suggestions welcome!!

There are command line tools for this, I suggest you use them. Run iwconfig (as root) and see what turns up, ie, does it show it's associated? Are the lights blinking like they are associated?

thanks, i was able to get it working it was a problem with my dns for some reason i don't get the servers from my dhcp server (i do on every other computer) until i go in a check them, change something on it, then check them again, and they are there. Weird huh?

Similar issue....

I have the same issue..All the lights blink...its activley talking to the Access point but cannot get the local IP address..

See my previous post for full configuration details...

Any help would be life saving...
