Question SMC 2662W USB Wireless adapter?

Hi guys, I'm kind of new to linux & wireless. I got this SMC2662W wireless adapter but I don't know how to configure it. Is there an special command to do this?? I'm using Fedora Core 1 and I also downloaded the drives for it which are in .tar format so I believe I'm not installing this driver correctly!! How do you untar this file??

Please help!!
