Slackware 11 - broadcom not present in lspci

Greets all,

I am having difficulty getting a broadcom wifi adapter to be picked up in slackware 11. I have gone through various steps using ndiswrapper but the problem is that the card is not evening being detected as being connected:

Quote:
$lspci
<various controllers>
No broadcom controller is listed :s

Also
Quote:
ndiswrapper -l
bcmwl5a installed
Note that there is no hardware present after running this command

I am running Slackware 11 using Microsoft Virtual PC 2004.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

What kernel are you using? I have a laptop with a Broadcom 4318 and it shows. I am running the huge26 kernel.

I'm using the default kernel that comes with slackware 11 - 2.4.33.3

I do not think there is support in the 2.4 kernel for the Broadcom wireless cards. Use the 2.6 kernel.
