I'm currently trying to get my orinoco to work with kismet with no success. I'm running Slackware 9.1 (2.4.22) using pcmcia-cs 3.2.0 (patched with the patch from airsnort.shmoo.com) which apparently works. I'm currently using the patched drivers to post this and typing iwpriv gives me:
Code:
bash-2.05b# iwpriv eth0
eth0 Available private ioctl :
force_reset (8BE0) : set 0 & get 0
card_reset (8BE1) : set 0 & get 0
set_port3 (8BE2) : set 1 int & get 0
get_port3 (8BE3) : set 0 & get 1 int
set_preamble (8BE4) : set 1 int & get 0
get_preamble (8BE5) : set 0 & get 1 int
set_ibssport (8BE6) : set 1 int & get 0
get_ibssport (8BE7) : set 0 & get 1 int
monitor (8BE8) : set 2 int & get 0
the problem arises when I attempt to run kismet
Code:
bash-2.05b# kismet

It seems to be having trouble entering moniter mode but I'm not sure why because the card seems to be working fine. Any and all help is appreciated
