PPTP (VPN) server: authentication options (Radiut / Chap-secrets / ldap/..) ?

Hi folks,

I'm using the PPTP server (PopTop) v1.1.4b4 on redHat (kernel 2.4.8....).

Currently, all my user+ passwd combinations are stored in the /etc/ppp/chap-secrets file.
I'm looking to *not use* this file, but instead use some other user database.

Question:
1. Can the PPTP server authenticate against any of the following:
- Radius server
- LDAP server
- any 3rd party RDBMS
- Unix users on the Redhat system (would this be PAM ?)

Appreciate any pointers!

Thanks,
-AA
