no wireless extentions

SuSe 9.3

YaSt detected that I have Wireless PCI card (Texas Instrument ACX 111 54 mbps). But when I check using iwconfig, i get the following msg.

"eth0 no wireless extention"

Where is my mistake? Why a new installation giving me this problem?

My wireless connection was working correctly under SuSe 9.2

Any idea? thanks in advance.....

Yast detected your wifi PCI card, but it doesn't mean that it can use it! You have to enable wireless support in the kernel, recompile the kernel and in "Networking Support" enable "Wireless LAN (non-hamradio)". Maybe Suse 9.2 have WLAN enabled by default.

After that, make sure that Suse turns on the Wifi card! I had big trobles about it with Intel PROWireless and Slackware 10.1!!
