Unhappy My adsl problems


I have one computer.
I have ADSL router Siemens Gigaset SE515 and Siemens Gigaset USB Adapter 54. In Windows xp I use it and it works vith driver very well. But in Linux I do not know how to install and configure it. I use Ubuntu Linux. (it is based on Debian)
Can you help me?

OK, you do not know.
My router supports also LAN connection with ethernet network card.
My eth card is Realtek RTL8139/810x Family Fast Ethernet NIC.
In Ubuntu Linux I configured network and it works. Apt-get works very fast (40 kb/s), but surfing is very very very slow. Can u help me?

That explains a lot! My Connection and hardware is ok. Download is fast. Speed is always ok. But look at times...

EXACTLY that problem is also with Windows XP.
Please, please, please, help me? Nobody has answered to me.

OK. Can you tell me, can I use wireless network in Linux but from Windows using vmware?
