Linux/Debian, WEP and linux-wlan - cannot get it to work with WEP
I have a Netgear WGR614 wireless router.
On my laptop running debian (libanet v2.8.1), I have the linux-wlan drivers compiled with a Dlink - DWL 122 wireless usb adaptor.
In my /etc/wlan I have a file called wlancfg-startrek, which is the name of my AP in my WGR614 router.
All works ok, as long as I dont set WEP.
If I set WEP - 64 bit (the DWL-122 client on my laptop uses 40 or 64bit), I get a key like 213ab0794d but no matter how I set out the wlancfg-startrek file,I cannot get WEP to work.
Everytime I do a iwconfig, encryption=off
Has anyone a working example of the same type of file but with 64bit WEP as its driving me nuts.
Many Thanks
Scott
