Hey everybody. Thanks in advance for your help.
I am working with Slack 10.1 kernel 2.6.10
I'd send my kernel configuration if it weren't for the fact that I can't get internet on the computer with the problems
.
Anyway... I'm trying to install the WPC54G ver2 with ndiswrapper, but I can't seem to get my card recognized. When I use cardmgr it says "no sockets found!", and ndiswrapper -l says that the "lstinds driver present" but will not indicate that the hardware was found....
I'm using the newest prerelease of ndiswrapper, but versions 1.0 and 0.9 did the same thing, I've tried both of them...
I've been searching the internet for two days now, and figured it was probably time to make a post. Does anybody have any ideas? I'd particularly like to get cardmgr to recognize that the pcmcia card IS there.... I've enabled support for it in the kernel, so I have no idea what's going on...
Update: I got the card recognized with the recommendations on
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...&pagenumber=3,
But now I'm having a problem with ndiswrapper.... I'm doing everything with version 1.0 now, but all I'm getting in dmesg after a modprobe is
ndiswrapper version 1.0 loaded (preemt=no, smp=no)
I'm not getting anything about the module being loaded. When I pull up ndiswrapper -l I get
Installed ndis drivers:
lstinds driver present
And nothing else about the hardware being found... Help is greatly appreciated,
Many thanks,
James.
