issues with ndiswrapper

I downloaded the kernel module for ndiswrapper for red hat 9, and have an rpm, but can't figure out what to do from here. I'm a linux newbie so any help on extracting the rpm and getting ndis wrapper functional would really be appreciated.

Download the code and compile

Hi,

Download the code from here and compile and install it.

Compiling and install is easy-

1. Extract the tar.gz to a directory
2. Change to that directory
3. ./configure - I'm not sure if this file is present. If not present, simply omit this step.
4. make
5. su root - type the root password when it asks for a password
6. make install

Then add this line to your /etc/modules.conf (I'm assuming you are trying to install ndiswrapper to get your wireless device working)-
alias wlan0 ndiswrapper

After this you are on your own because the rest is device dependent (well almost).
