Installing Madwifi...cant find .config

I just install mandriva 2006 (had this same problem with fedora5...but not fedora4or3)

I try to run the make command and i get

Malefile.inc:113: *** KERNELPATH: does not exist. Stop.

Im not sure where the kernel path is and i am sad.

I thought it should be in /usr/src/linux but that directory doesnt even exist on my machine i only have /usr/src/RPM

You need to install the kernel-source package. There may also be a kernel-headers package you can install also. There will be a README file by Mandriva about compiling kernel modules. Also read the relevent parts of the Mandriva administrators guide.

Did you read the madwifi support page for Mandriva yet?
