this is what i do: i go on to the taskbar and press that little pinguin (KNOPPIX) and then go to network/internet.
i select network card config and i have 2 options: wlan0 and eth0. i choose wlan0. i enter my ip, network masg, default gateway, brodcast address, and name server and hit OK. it starts checking, it pops up some nu such device signs and then it closes as if nothing had ever happened.
