How can I share between wireless and LAN?

I have a ADSL modem with wireless access point, then I have router connect to Modem, the LAN looks like this (sorry, that I can't put URL here),
Code:
http://www.geocities.jp/mikezang/pics/LanInZangLand.jpg
I will try after post 5 messages.

I have to config Modem and Wireless LAN in
Code:
172.16.255.254
the MODEM only let me use IP since
Code:
192.168.3.1
. the server is FC4 and pc is win2k. What can I do to config ip address for my home LAN?

Thanks alot.

I assume this is a store bought type router. From what I can tell could you not connect the cable from the modem to the lan side of the router. Do not connect to the wan side. Then in the router on the lan side configuration tool. Make the router IP say 192.168.3.200 and the gateway 192.168.3.201. Now I assume you will either get and IP from the modem or manually static setup. So now all lan side machines on the router will need to be in the 192.168.3.*/24 class C. You will point all wired lan machines to the modems router gateway IP just the same as the wirless side?

So when it is all done what you endup with is a switch versuses a router.

Also what app did you use to create that layout?

Hope this helps.

In fact, I had config Route adn MODEM, at the moment, the ROUTE WAN IP=192.168.3.2, ROUTE LAN IP=192.168.1.1, then MODEM LAN IP=192.168.3.1.
I also set server IP=192.168.1.100 and pc IP=192.168.1.10(Wire LAN) and IP=192.168.3.10(Wireless LAN).

The problem is how can I share files and folder between my server and pc, I know I have to use samba, but now even if ping is not work, may I have to config my route table in Modem, Route , Server and pc? and how I do it?

By the way, the tool what I design my LAN is a freeware, you can find
Code:

Not familiar with what you are using. What is the brand and model of modem and router. If I get time I will look them up and see how they are configured.

Later the trick or treaters are on thier way.

I found the MODEm's concept, this MODEM has a Wireless LAN CARD as Access Point, then the MODEM can be config to use NAT or not. if it is in NAT mode, the IPs look like http://www.geocities.jp/mikezang/pics/LanInZangLand.jpg
If it is in non NAT mode, the ROUTE will be set toa different global IP.

Both in those two mode, how can I communicate between my pc and server?

If you want to go from the pc to server then the router needs to open ports to foward connections to. If all you have is one server and the router has a dmz option then you can put the server ip in the dmz zone of the router and all data from the wan side should be seen from the server. It would be like a bridge. Thats about all I can tell from the info provided. Good luck.
