help with linksys WUSB54G


hi.. i am a noob in linux.. can't get my linksys usb wireless adapter to work.. can anyone help me on this? i am currently using mandriva 2006

install the newest drivers for it-- if you havn't.

they may not be in the mandy repositories.. so look on the net or the manufactorers site.

i tried.. but still can't get it to work.. nothing appears after i seach for available wireless networks..

i tried.. can be installed with ndswrapper.. but when searching for available wireless networks.. nothing was found..
any one can help? thanks in advance

what do you mean 'nothing was found'.

are you trying to connect to your network or anothers?

if yours, then you need to have your network setup so the router can find it.

also normally you want everything set to: dhcp NOT static.

do you have a wireless network card installed on your pc?

and what about ndiswrapper-- that is ONLY if linux does not have any drivers for hardware.. and i doubt seriously that linksis doesn't.
