Question Fedora Core 3 - Wireless up and down

I have a Dell Inspiron 8500 with an Intel Pro Wireless 2200. I cannot get the thing to stay active. If I acitvate it, within one minute it will go into the deactive state. Also, unless the ethernet adapter starts on boot, I can connect a cable and activate it, but the computer will not use the connection. Any ideas?

There are two things I would be looking at here. First of all, try disabling APCI on boot. This may prevent your wireless module from sleeping. Also, look to see if it is obtaining an IP address from the AP. At command line run
Code:
dhclient <your interface name here>
Your interface may well be eth0 in your case but check this out using the iwconfig command.
Hope this helps.
Regards
Chris
