dhcp subnet is 255.255.252.0 why does dhclient not find it????

At my school at Devry windows can connect to the wireless network. The subnet mask is 255.255.252.0 . I am running orinoco_pci mod on debian. It works with other subnet masks except this one. When I run /sbin/dhclient eth0 it says its trying to connect to 255.255.255.255 on port 69 and it never gets the ip.
