Question Configuring an USB wireles card in Red Hat 9

Hi I'm new to Linux and yesterday my brother in law and I installed Linux RedHat 9 on a desktop.

Everything was Ok but when we tried to configure the USB card to connect to the internet we didn't found it the modules Red Hat installed.

We went and try to find a driver for this card and knew that we have to compile it.

After several attempts to compile the module and getting it into the modules Red Hat could read, we abandoned the quest and went to MS nirvana...

My questions are:
- Anybody could tell me where to find the latest Linksys driver for an USB card? (is there something like a generic drive? )

- Is there an easier way to add a new module to Red Hat without the compiling process?

Thanks in advance

You will most likely need to compile it.

What kernel are you using?
uname -a

You may want to upgrade to 2.6.5
