building a wireless acess point

Hello All,
I'm running LM 10.1 and using an orinoco pcmcia card and am trying to find distro specific info on how, precisely, to create a wireless access point using what I have. Here is an excerpt from dmesg to clarify my card.

orinoco 0.13e (David Gibson <hermes@gibson.dropbear.id.au>, Pavel Roskin <proski@gnu.org>, et al)
orinoco_cs 0.13e (David Gibson <hermes@gibson.dropbear.id.au>, Pavel Roskin <proski@gnu.org>, et al)
eth0: Station identity 001f:0001:0004:0034
eth0: Looks like a Lucent/Agere firmware version 4.52
eth0: Ad-hoc demo mode supported
eth0: WEP supported, 104-bit key
eth0: MAC address 00:02:2D:2C:52:34
eth0: Station name "HERMES I"
eth0: ready
eth0: index 0x01: Vcc 5.0, irq 10, io 0x0100-0x013f

lspci outputs nothing pertaining to this card, and this is the output from iwconfig:
[root@ip1 gary]# iwconfig eth0
eth0 IEEE 802.11-DS ESSID:"" Nickname:"------------------"
Mode:Ad-Hoc Frequency:2.457GHz Cell: 00:00:00:00:00:00
Bit Rate:2Mb/s Tx-Power=15 dBm Sensitivity:1/3
Retry limit:4 RTS thr: off Fragment thr: off
Encryption key: off
Power Management: off
Link Quality: 0 Signal level: 0 Noise level: 0
Rx invalid nwid: 0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:1
Tx excessive retries: 0 Invalid misc: 0 Missed beacon: 0

Its late ,I'm tired and blind from looking and reading so any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you all...

There is a tutorial on this site: Building a Slackware Wireless Access Point.

Although it is written for Slack and not for Mandrake, it should get you started.

Also if your wireless card is PCMCIA it wont print anything out using lspci

PCMCIA = isa bus

CARDBUS = pci bus

Problems is manufatures keep using the old acronum pcmcia for cardbus cards when they should be saying PC CARD
