Bluetooth Headset Not Receiving/Sending Sounds

While my freshly installed Fedora 23 system is able to connect and pair my plantronic voyager bluetooth headset, it does not receive or emit sounds when the input and output devices are set to "Headset HSP/HFP".

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to resolve this issue? Thanks.

It works with other protocols then? If not have you adjusted the volume levels? Many people have unidentified hearing issues and can't hear preset levels. I am not being facetious, I have seen this issue a few times and it is very easy to rule it in or out.

Audio output on the headset works with A2DP Sink, but audio input via the headset does not work.

The only thing I can suggest is to check out using package manager for Fedora if all needed audio programs such as LAME are installed. I haven`t used Fedora for years so I can only give general advice.

Are there any drivers or programs with the headset? Another suggestion is to check if the kernel is loading necessary audio and possibly bluetooth drivers. Hopefully you won't need to recompile the kernel.
