Blackberry 8700g as modem


I have a BB 8700g and use it as a modem on WinXp and was wondering if anyone has had any luck setting it up as a modem on Linux. I am running Kubuntu 6.10.

get it working?

sorry no one was able to help you... unfortuantely, neither can i, but i am curious, did you ever get this working? i'm thinking about getting an 8700 but want to know about how it works with ubuntu first.

No, sorry, did not get anywhere with it. I found some info regarding this; I'll hunt it down and post the link.

I'm using a BlackBerry 8703e from Verizon with Puppy Linux. I posted a package here:

You might be able to use it as a pattern for another disto.
