BCM4318 Ad-hoc: Can't ping between machines

Hi, I've got this (lspci):

00:0d.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4318 [AirForce One 54g] 802.11g Wireless LAN Controller (rev 02)

I'm using Kubuntu EE, which already has bcm43xx driver, but I wasn't able to do anything with this card using this driver, so I blacklisted that and used ndiswrapper and WinXP driver. Everything works, i set:

on my desktop:
iwconfig wlan1 essid home
iwconfig wlan1 mode ad-hoc
ifconfig wlan1 192.168.0.1

on my laptop:
iwconfig wlan0 essid home
iwconfig wlan0 mode ad-hoc
ifconfig wlan0 192.168.0.2

Firewalls are turned off, it seems connected, but I can't ping between the machines. If I tried Windows XP on my laptop, it tells me, it's connected, but ping is impossible as well...why?

In addition, I'd like to share Internet to my laptop, but ping is the first step I think
