I have never taken a Red Hat exam before. I would like some insight on the Red Hat Virtualization Exam. Has anyone taken it? Any pointers? Exam preparation tips?
Distribution: Currently: OpenMandriva. Previously: openSUSE, PCLinuxOS, CentOS, among others over the years.

Neither have I.

Do you understand the concepts it's likely going to cover? Why are you taking it if you seem to have little idea of it?

Sure, understand the concepts it's likely to ask you about.
While this had nothing to do with "virtualization", the latest IT related problem I had wasn't solved by me running to a Linux forum; it was solved by understanding how the software come to know what settings to use, which lead me to the config file it uses and ultimately the solution to the problem - I read no documentation either. Don't misunderstand me, I'm not saying you shouldn't read up about your intentions - you most certainly should if you're going to take an exam.
The point is this: if you don't know how to troubleshoot things, you don't understand the concepts involved, you can't look up information, then it won't matter even if you do pass the exam, as you'll be fairly useless in a real situation where you need to setup something, configure something, troubleshoot something, etc, etc.

It may sound harsh, but that's how it is.
I actually just wanted to know if someone who had taken the exam before could layout what type of environment I would have to face. This is my method for getting exam anxiety under control. I under the concepts and objectives but that does not address my concerns. This question actually does relate to virtualization because may someone who is here and familiar with the different flavors of virtualization... has taken the exam. My real life experience with Red Hat Virtualization and troubleshooting and configuration is just fine but, as I stated before, I have never taken a Red Hat Exam. Please assist if you can.
