QEMU/KVM: Mapping host BIOS to guest

I use KVM to run Windows 7 guest on the Debian 8 host. I need to pass host BIOS data to the guest system. With libvirt this can be achieved by adding
smbbios option to the VM XML as shown below
Code:
<domain type='...' xmlns:qemu='http://libvirt.org/schemas/domain/qemu/1.0'>
  ...
  <os>
    ...
    <smbios mode='host'/>
  </os>
  ...
</domain>
But is it possible to do the same using "plain" QEMU/KVM? There is -acpitable argument in QEMU but it used only to load ACPI table or some of its parts.

If you look at the system logs, you can find the qemu command line generated by libvirt. Check the libvirt logs.

I get the feeling you'd need an image of the bios you want to load with smbios in qemu. Never tried it and I could be way wrong.

when the libvirt generated VM is running, simply run ps -ef |grep qemu
This will give you the full command line used for the VM
