CentOS 8 VM repeating login prompt

I have just created a new VM using pxeboot/kickstart of CentOS 8 Stream. However every VM I create does this after updating. I have identified the problem (I think) and fixed it in future builds, but can't seem to resolve this.

I am using VMware ESXi 7.0. btw.

See attached image.

Make sure the password you are using is in fact the correct password and that it is being typed/output correctly. You can also try to login as root without a password and see what happens.

Wonder if it is an oddity of keyboard? In some cases I've had the keyboard number keys backwards from what the numblock light shows.
