backtrack4+vmware+fonera with dd-wrt


Hi all. I install bt4 in a virtual machine but i canīt get to the net with im.I using my friend internet and i receive the signal with a la fonera router in client mode.put static ip in the backtrack and i can access to the router but canīt access the internet.Can someone help me.

1. I assume you've configured your VM for "bridged networking".

2. Make sure your VM's static IP is on the same subnet (combination IP address and subnet mask) as your gateway.

3. Make sure you can ping your gateway from your VM.

4. If any of these fail, then cut/paste and post the output from:
a) ifconfig eth0 (on your VM)
b) ifconfig (with *no* arguments, to list *all* interfaces)
c) ping GATEWAY_IP (on your VM)
d) ifconfig eth0 (Linux) or ipconfig/all (Windows) of your gateway
e) ping www.google.com (on your gateway)

Hi dont have net in backtrack.i had the static ip gateway and dns and nothing. In the win7 i have my ip and my gateway is my router but in the dns i put the ip that the fonera shows me.my friend (is ap is 192.168.0.1 and is machine is 192.168.0.100) my dns is the second and works fine.But with backtrack jesus.
