Yet another question about starting up Enlightenment on RH9.

I must be a truly retarded noob as I can’t get Enlightenment started no matter what I do, I guess I can blame it on a decade of using M$ products. I went thru a dozen or so pages about Enlightenment but nothing seems to work. I am using RH9. Here is where I am right now: I copied and renamed kde to enlightenment in /etc/X11/gdm/Sessions then edited the file so it reads “exec /etc/X11/xdm/Xsession Enlightenment”. Next I appended a line “exec Enlightenment” to the end of Xsession in /etc/X11/xdm. I found these directions in one of the threads but I guess I had to miss something as when I select Enlightenment from sessions in the GUI login menu it just goes into the default environment which is KDE. Any clues as to what I am doing wrong?

is the install directory for enlightenment in your path? where is it installed? perhaps after the exec part type the full path to enlightenment and see if that helps.
