Yet another OpenMosix question
Hello everyone,
I'm trying to create a small openmosix computer (just three nodes so far). Do I need to use the Debian-patched kernel source (2.4.19), or can I use the latest 2.4.26-om1 kernel? So far, I've been doing the latter for the kernel and modules, and somehow, when (if) the kernel successfully boots, the /etc/init.d/openmosix script always returns an error: "Error! This is not OPENMOSIX!" I can't even run the userland tools--they return the same error! The command 'uname -r' returns 2.4.26-om1, and /proc/hpc and subdirectories exist. Does anyone have an idea as to why this is happenning? Has anyone who has successfully set up an openmosix supercomputer experienced this problem before? If not, what procedure(s) did you take to install the software?
I've already looked at the tutorials at the main website (openmosix.sourceforge.net).
Thank you
