Yahoo wont login on ubuntu 9.04 beta using pidgin
I have just installed ubuntu 9.04 beta its great and really perfect but its not 100% okay, one of the things that I have met is the yahoo not working on pidgin, I have tried other protocols like msn it works great but yahoo wont login at all I have tried my other yahoo account but the same results .

Is your firewall enabled? Perhaps the port for MSN, AIM, etc. is open but not for Yahoo... Its probably a long shot but would be an easy fix if it is the problem.

I have tried to fully stop my firewall but nothing happened, I always open the yahoo and msn ports from my modem (router).

Then I have tried Empathy and the same results.
and when I login by any of the web messengers http://www.iloveim.com/ it login like a charm,
any suggestions will be great

This can be fixed by changing the port from 5050 to 20
|
