xine killing my X


Yet another problem

yesterday I successfully "yum install xine" and yum takecare of all the deps.
however when i started xine, after new few seconds or if I tries to click any option from xine interface it Kills my X send me back to shell prompt

anyone please let me out of this problem, or may I "uninstall" xine thing.

u tried running xine from console ?

yep i tried it from terminal too and same problem persists

i had the same problem, so i just uninstalled xine and used
mplayer. unfortunately i dont have it on my machine any more
so i dont remember the exact method. I used the source instead
of an RPM, so I just checked the docs in the untarred dir. I think
i just ran make uninstall.

hey grcunningham i did the same, just get rid of xine and installed mplayer and it work fine.
it means xine "SUCKS"
