XGL Suse 10.1 Gnome 7900 gtx

Being primarily a KDE user, sometime ago i manually configured xgl to run on KDE. I thought i might try gnome and the easy way using the GUI 'desktop effects'. However on trying, the GUI returns the error "Graphics card not in database". Does anyone know what database is used and whether i can manually add the GFX card?

Cheers

It's in the appropriately named package "hardware-list." And you can't add your card to it. You can still use xgl. And you should be using the instructions in The Jem Report, Hacking Suse 10.1 to set up your xgl as it only takes editing 1 word and adding a config file for that method to work.
