xcdroast message

Calling: /usr/lib/xcdroast-0.98/bin/xcdrwrap CDRECORD dev= "ATAPI:0,0,0" gracetime=2 fs=4096k -v driveropts=burnfree speed=24 -dao -eject -pad -overburn -waiti tsize=358712s -

scsidev: 'ATAPI:0,0,0'
devname: 'ATAPI'
scsibus: 0 target: 0 lun: 0
Use of ATA is preferred over ATAPI.
Warning: Using ATA Packet interface.
Warning: The related Linux kernel interface code seems to be unmaintained.
Warning: There is absolutely NO DMA, operations thus are slow.

This is what I got from xcdroast (FC2 kde). Is this normal ?

if it works that's fine
there is what can only be called a current argument over cd writing transport layer
that gets played out through strange warning output from nearly everything
if it works you are OK
