Angry X Applications are ugly!

Hello, I have a minor problems w/ my xapps. Instead of the standard gray theme they have a hideous black background (it's unreadable). Everything else is fine, qt and gtk apps look fine but basic X apps like xcalc and winesetuptk look really nasty.

is there a menu for changing color schemes w/ these programs?

That sounds more related to your desktop manager theme. Are you using KDE or Gnome? If so, try different themes and see if that was your problem...

OK, I still have the same problem... I have the same problem regardless of which WM I use and it looks even uglier when i apply KDE colors to non-KDE apps. Any ideas? Is there a file that stores properties for x apps?

Call me the MASTER OF OVERLOOKING THE OBVIOUS.

I had the colors globally set that way in my .Xdefaults file

No point in doing that when I only want aterm to look like that, eh?
