Hi to everyone. I'm having a small problem running bit torrent on my slack 10.0
I downloade wxPython as it requires and run
./configure
make
make install

then run ldconfig and finally I've export(ed) LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/locacl/lib
But when I try to run say btdownloadgui.py I get an error saying:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "./btdownloadgui.py", line 13, in ?
ImportError: No Module named wxPython.wx

Can someone tell me what am I missing to finish the installation? I'm not sure if a python interpreter is running on the system.

If you get the Traceback and Importerror messages above, then Python itself is working fine.

There is also a typo in your post, and if you pasted from your terminal you had a typo there as well - it's /usr/local/lib, not /usr/locacl/lib. Sorry if this is redundant.

BitTorrent works well without wxPython too - try using btdownloadcurses.py instead for a short stop solution. I actually prefer the curses interface because I can ssh in to a machine, start up a screen session and start btdownloadcurses.py within it, detach and logoff and then come back when it's done.
