wine program wont work if cups running

Hey there,

i was able to install a wine application, run it and everything. there are a few tricks to it though. For example, each time i switch cds, i have to chmod 777 /dev/hdc
i know, weird. but anyway, i installed cups and hplip, set up an hp 1315 printer, no problem. now the program will not run.

if i disable cups, the program works, but i cannot print.

anyone know how to fix this ?
