Wine+Kazaa

i wanna get kazaa running, i have codeweavers-wine-20020904-7.i386.rpm installed, notepad runs fine , i try to install kazaa. but it hangs up during the install. should i get a working image rather than trying to install? in other words, i would appreciate if someone who has got it working would share the experiences.

well i'll link a page with a step by step for kazaa but its for using wine..codeweaver is basically set up for use with all aspects of MSOffice, MSVisio, Lotus, Quicken and adobe photoshop...so if this guide is known to work and it doesn't work for you then i will just have to jump to conclusions and think its your version of wine that you use, if it does work, then all the better for you.

Kazaa 2.1

Kazaa Lite 2.0

good luck!

well, thankyou doc.
i kinda start to like this forum already. i got it working using the link and after some effort. and i mean effort , cause i installed wine-20030508-1rh9winehq , wich came with some kinda win3.1 day's dll-s, so i almost broke my brains, thinking of wtf is wrong, until i discovered that theese dll-s on my windoze boxes HDD are about 3 times longer and replaced them (lucky that i have a win98 box under the table acting as a backup ftp server)
anyway, it's rather cool to run kazaa on linux i think.
ofcourse, i think that i'll have to post again because of some upcoming problems, but, what-da-heck, at least it started

one thing to add: it's very slow, my Athlon Thunderbird 1400MHz with 256MB of SDRAM acts as a 386 wheh i resize the window. not that this is a problem, just, to be mentioned.
