Wine colours messed up

I have just re-installed wine on my system and installed Ultima Online, this game used to run perfectly but now it does not

The changes to my system were major (changed to SuSE from Gentoo for starters) and am using wine 20041201, now I see there was some changes to colour handling so suspect that to be a problem, the basic problem is the colour channels seem to be very messed up, the game uses a 16 bit colour mode normally and my X display is running in 32-bit, this has never been a problem before might I add.

The funny thing is, if I run the game in windowed mode it has colour problems, in "fullscreen" mode but in a desktop window with wine it's colours are ok.

The second problem is with the mouse cursor, it has weird corruption when I move it about and I get "fixme:bitblt:X11DRV_BitBlt potential optimization - client-side DIB copy" when moving it. The game uses a custom graphical cursor btw, not the normal windows arrow.

Any hints would be greatly appreciated.
