i get this when i try to install photoshop 7 via wine:
err:virtual:map_image Standard load address for a Win32 program (0x00400000) not available - security-patched kernel ?
/home/terry/download/wine-20030115/miscemu/wine: could not load 'C:\windows\system\photoshop7.exe' as Win32 binary
i'm not duel booting, so it's running off of linux entirely. what did i do wrong/how do i fix this?
Have you tried crossoveroffice yet? I have it running on my computer and it will install photoshop 7 in just a couple of minutes. They have a demo you could try. I only mention it as it may save you more time and trouble than to get it to work with straight wine.
And yes I know that crossoveroffice is built off from wine and that it is possible with wine but for the trouble it could be worth checking out crossoveroffice.
Wine does run photoshop 7, I do that sometimes
Could be that your kernel is security patched? That prevents wine from doing some things it needs to.
